Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Aliniom Ltd ("Aliniom", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal information collected through this website (aliniom.com). This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It covers this public website only — not the separate contractual terms agreed for any client engagement.

Who we are

Aliniom Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17080969, with its registered office at Eagle House, 25 Severn Street, Welshpool, Powys, United Kingdom, SY21 7AD. You can contact us about privacy matters at info@aliniom.com.

What we collect and why

The only personal information this website actively asks you for is what you choose to submit through the contact form: your name, email address, phone number, location, and the content of your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry — for example, to discuss a potential project or provide a quote. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries directed to us, and, where an engagement follows, the steps necessary to enter into a contract.

We don't use the contact form to build a marketing list, and we don't sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.

How your enquiry is handled

Submitting the contact form sends your details by email to Aliniom Ltd and sends you a confirmation copy. The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA to reduce automated spam — see Google's own Privacy Policy for how reCAPTCHA processes data. We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting engagement, and in line with our general business record-keeping practice after that, after which it's deleted.

Cookies

This site keeps cookie use to the minimum needed for it to function:

  • Cookie consent preference (almCookieConsent) — remembers whether you've accepted or dismissed the cookie banner, so you're not asked again. Kept for around 180 days.
  • Staff session cookie (PHPSESSID) — used only when logging into the staff area, to keep you signed in. Not set for ordinary visitors browsing the public site.
  • Theme preference — your light/dark mode choice is remembered in your browser's local storage, not a cookie, and never leaves your device.

We don't run analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this site. This site loads Google Fonts and Font Awesome icon fonts from third-party content delivery networks, which as a technical side effect of the request can make your IP address visible to those providers; no other data is shared with them.

Other third parties

Beyond Google reCAPTCHA and the font CDNs above, this website uses a UK-based web hosting and email delivery provider to run the site and send enquiry emails. We don't use any other third-party analytics, advertising or marketing tools on this site.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information, where there's no good reason for us to keep it;
  • ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information; and
  • ask for your information to be provided to you, or transferred, in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, email info@aliniom.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information you share with us, including restricting access to the staff area behind authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information we can't guarantee its absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the site changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

This page is provided as general information about how this website handles personal data and isn't a substitute for independent legal advice. If you need a policy tailored to specific compliance requirements, we'd recommend having it reviewed by a qualified data protection professional.
